Intro

Proof Beats Promises.

Every organization has a story. The challenge is making sure the right people can find it, understand it, and take action.

Connection Built works with nonprofits and small businesses to clarify their message, improve their digital presence, build better systems, and create practical marketing strategies that support real growth.

This page highlights a few examples of what that looks like in the real world — not theory, not fluff, not "synergy." Just the work.

01Velo Kids: Turning a Website Into a Community Resource

Velo Kids started with a powerful mission: get more kids on bikes and build happy, healthy, confident kids. Connection Built came in during the early stages to help develop a website that could share the story, explain the mission, and give the organization a stronger digital home.

The Challenge

Velo Kids needed more than a basic website. They needed a platform that could grow with the organization — one that served families, schools, donors, supporters, and internal program needs.

The Work

  • ·Clearly tells the Velo Kids story and mission
  • ·Explains programs for schools, families, and community partners
  • ·Provides an online resource for schools to learn about available programs
  • ·Supports donors and community supporters
  • ·Includes embedded donor management functionality
  • ·Integrates with program registration tools
  • ·Helps turn interest into action

The Result

The website has grown into a central resource for the organization, helping Velo Kids support schools, families, donors, and program participants more effectively. Today, the site receives over 1,000 unique visitors per month and supports both awareness and action.

Impact Highlights

This is what happens when a nonprofit website becomes more than a website. It becomes infrastructure for the mission.

02Frandale Fundraising: Bringing Small-Town Fundraising Online

Frandale Fundraising has been helping local schools, teams, and community groups raise money through fresh-made sandwiches and fundraising programs. The company had a strong reputation and a personal, small-town feel — but fundraising expectations were changing.

The Challenge

Frandale had relied heavily on paper order forms, cash, and check payments. Schools and supporters increasingly wanted a more modern ordering option, but the solution still needed to feel simple, personal, and easy for local communities to use.

The Work

  • ·Created dedicated online ordering experiences for fundraising groups
  • ·Built support for school-specific fundraising pages
  • ·Made it easier for supporters to order and pay online
  • ·Preserved the approachable, small-town feel of the brand
  • ·Improved website usability for current and future fundraising programs
  • ·Expanded visibility for new programs and offerings

The Result

Frandale is now better positioned to support modern fundraising expectations while keeping the personal service that makes the company different. The website is getting more traffic than ever and helping the company expand its programs and offerings.

More website traffic than ever

Expanding programs and offerings

Improved fundraising experience without losing the local feel

03Sonic Carpet Cleaning: Building Awareness for a Local Service Brand

Sonic Carpet Cleaning needed a marketing plan to build local awareness, improve visibility, and help more people discover the company online. Connection Built began supporting Sonic with search marketing, local SEO, website updates, and social media strategy.

The Challenge

As a growing local service company, Sonic needed to strengthen its online presence and show up in the places people already look when comparing carpet cleaning services: Google, Facebook, Yelp, and the website.

The Work

  • ·Local search engine optimization
  • ·Google Ads traffic strategy
  • ·Website updates focused on service clarity and quote requests
  • ·Facebook content and ad support
  • ·Yelp visibility review
  • ·Ottawa County and Allegan County search targeting
  • ·Recommendations to improve conversion tracking and lead flow

The Result

Early marketing support produced strong traffic and awareness signals. In May, Sonic Carpet Cleaning received 294 unique website visitors, including 132 visitors from Google Ads. Facebook Ads launched halfway through the month and drove 5,800 views in week two, 20 interactions, and 45 new followers. Yelp also showed strong visibility, with 2,800 views and 28 page visits.

For local service businesses, visibility matters. People cannot request a quote from a company they never find.

The Pattern

Different Organizations. Same Core Problem.

Velo Kids, Frandale Fundraising, and Sonic Carpet Cleaning all serve different audiences. One is a nonprofit. One supports school fundraising. One is a local service business.

But the problem underneath was similar:

  • ·The work was strong.
  • ·The story needed clarity.
  • ·The online presence needed to support action.

Connection Built helps organizations close that gap.

Clarify the Message

People need to quickly understand who you are, what you do, and why it matters.

Build the System

Websites, forms, donor tools, registration systems, and quote paths should make action easier — not harder.

Create Momentum

Marketing works better when strategy, content, search, and user experience are connected.
